What You'll Need

Equipment: 8x8 inch baking dish, Large bowl, Whisk, Measuring cups and spoons Shop these items →
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
  2. Place the Bread in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together all Custard ingredients until well combined.
  4. Pour the Custard mixture evenly over the Bread, pressing down gently to ensure all pieces are soaked.
  5. If using, sprinkle Raisins over the top.
  6. Let stand for 15-20 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the custard.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set. A knife inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
