Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Place the Bread in the prepared baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all Custard ingredients until well combined.
- Pour the Custard mixture evenly over the Bread, pressing down gently to ensure all pieces are soaked.
- If using, sprinkle Raisins over the top.
- Let stand for 15-20 minutes to allow the bread to absorb the custard.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set. A knife inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
