  1. In a blender, combine all Batter ingredients. Blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the batter into a bowl, cover, and let it ferment for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  3. Heat a non-stick appam pan or small wok over medium heat.
  4. Pour a ladleful of batter into the center of the pan, swirl to coat the sides, and cover.
  5. Cook until the edges are golden brown and crispy, and the center is cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with vegetable stew or coconut milk.
