Instructions
  1. Prepare the Onion Jam: Heat Olive Oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add Yellow Onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for 30-40 minutes, or until deeply caramelized. Add Balsamic Vinegar, Brown Sugar, and Thyme. Cook for another 5-10 minutes, until the jam thickens. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine all Burger Patties ingredients and gently mix. Form into 4 patties.
  3. Prepare the Sauce by combining Aioli and Smoked Paprika in a small bowl.
  4. Grill or pan-fry the burger patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of Smoked Gouda Cheese.
  5. Toast the Pretzel Buns.
  6. Spread Sauce on both halves of each bun. Place Arugula on the bottom bun, followed by the cheeseburger patty, a generous spoonful of Onion Jam, and three slices of Bacon.
  7. Top with the other half of the bun. Serve immediately.
