  1. Prepare the Whisky Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine all Whisky Glaze ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Form the Burger Patties: In a bowl, combine all Burger Patties ingredients. Gently mix until just combined. Form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Cook the Bacon: Cook bacon until crispy. Set aside on paper towels to drain.
  4. Cook the Burgers: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese.
  5. Assemble the Burgers: Spread a generous amount of Whisky Glaze on both halves of each bun. Place lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the cheeseburger patty, bacon, red onion, and top bun. Serve immediately.
