A slightly more refined version of classic bacon and maple French toast dippers, using higher quality ingredients and a touch of nutmeg.
Instructions
- Cook Bacon until crispy. Crumble or chop into small pieces and set aside.
- In a shallow dish, whisk together all Custard ingredients until well combined.
- Dip each slice of Bread into the Custard mixture, ensuring both sides are thoroughly coated. Let sit for 5 minutes to soak.
- Cook the French toast dippers in a lightly buttered skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Sprinkle with crumbled Bacon and drizzle with Maple syrup. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
