Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- To make the biscuits: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gently stir in buttermilk until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Cut out 10 biscuits using a 3-inch biscuit cutter.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, crème fraîche, mayonnaise, chives, dill, and garlic powder.
- Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble. Set aside.
- Gently flatten each biscuit into a small circle.
- Spoon approximately 1.5 tablespoons of the egg mixture, 1.5 tablespoons of crumbled bacon, and 1 tablespoon of Gruyère cheese into the center of each biscuit.
- Gather the edges of the biscuit dough and pinch to seal, forming a ball.
- Place the filled biscuits onto an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve immediately.
