1/4 cup Demerara sugar
1 tbsp Ground cinnamon-Ceylon
1/4 tsp Black pepper-freshly ground
2 tbsp Unsalted butter-European style, softened

A sophisticated twist on the classic, featuring a bourbon-infused glaze, a hint of black pepper in the filling, and artisanal smoked bacon.
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thaw puff pastry sheet according to package directions.
  3. In a small bowl, combine all Filling ingredients until well blended.
  4. Spread the Filling evenly over the puff pastry sheet.
  5. Roll the puff pastry sheet tightly into a log.
  6. Chill the log for 15 minutes to firm up.
  7. Cut the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick slices.
  8. Wrap each slice with a half slice of Bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
  9. Place the twists on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the pastry is golden brown.
  11. While the twists are baking, prepare the Glaze by whisking together Powdered sugar, Bourbon, and Vanilla extract until smooth.
  12. Remove twists from oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle with Glaze before serving.
