Barbecue Chicken Tenders
A slightly more refined version of classic barbecue chicken tenders, featuring a homemade honey garlic barbecue sauce and a buttermilk marinade for extra tenderness.
In a bowl, combine all Marinade ingredients. Add Chicken to the marinade and toss to coat evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
While chicken marinates, prepare the Sauce: In a saucepan, combine all Sauce ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Place marinated chicken tenders on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
During the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the chicken tenders generously with the barbecue sauce mixture.
