Beefy Cheesy Taco Dip
A step up from the classic, this dip incorporates a homemade taco seasoning blend and a touch of Monterey Jack cheese for a richer flavor.
A step up from the classic, this dip incorporates a homemade taco seasoning blend and a touch of Monterey Jack cheese for a richer flavor.
Instructions
- Combine all Taco Seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.
- Brown the Beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of the Taco Seasoning blend and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed.
- In a medium bowl, combine the Cream Cheese and Sour Cream. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in 1 cup of the Cheddar Cheese and the Monterey Jack Cheese into the cream cheese mixture.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly into a 9-inch pie plate or serving dish.
- Layer the seasoned Beef over the cream cheese mixture.
- Top with the diced Tomato, Green Onion, Black Olives, Salsa, and remaining Cheddar Cheese.
- Sprinkle with minced Jalapeno.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.
