Instructions
- In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add the flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the Sauce by combining all Sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired thickness and shape.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Spread the Sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
