Instructions
- First, brown the butter: melt 1/4 cup butter in a saucepan over medium heat, swirling constantly, until golden brown and fragrant. Cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all Dry Ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all Wet Ingredients, including the browned butter.
- Pour the Wet Ingredients into the Dry Ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Heat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Pour the appropriate amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with additional maple syrup and chopped walnuts.
