Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook Bacon until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble.
- Steam or boil Broccoli until tender-crisp. Drain well.
- Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in All-purpose flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, creating a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat.
- Stir in Cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, Garlic powder, Black pepper, and Nutmeg until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Combine Broccoli, crumbled Bacon, and Cheese Sauce in the prepared baking dish. Spread evenly.
- Top with Tater tots in a single layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until tater tots are golden brown and crispy and the sauce is bubbly.
