Instructions
- Prepare the Chana Dumplings: In a bowl, combine crumbled paneer, all-purpose flour, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and form into small, round dumplings.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Gently fry the Chana Dumplings until golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In a separate pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chili powder. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add water and bring the gravy to a simmer. Gently drop in the fried Chana Dumplings.
- Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the dumplings to absorb the flavors of the gravy.
- Stir in garam masala and salt to taste.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or roti.
