20 oz Cheese Ravioli-frozen
28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
1 lb Italian Sausage-sweet, removed from casing
2 tbsp Olive Oil
3 cloves Garlic-minced

A more flavorful baked ravioli featuring a richer sauce with Italian sausage and a blend of cheeses. This version adds a layer of depth and heartiness to the classic dish.
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Ravioli according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. While ravioli is cooking, prepare the Sauce. In a large skillet, brown Italian Sausage over medium heat, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Add Olive Oil and Garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add Crushed Tomatoes, Dried Basil, Red Pepper Flakes, Salt, and Black Pepper to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. In a 9x13 inch baking dish, combine the cooked Ravioli and the Sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
  7. Dollop Ricotta Cheese over the ravioli mixture. Sprinkle with Mozzarella Cheese and Parmesan Cheese.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
