Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Place Potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain well.
- In a large saucepan, melt Butter from Cheese Sauce ingredients over medium heat. Whisk in Flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, creating a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in Cheddar Cheese, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt, and Pepper until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- Add Potatoes to the Cheese Sauce and stir to coat evenly.
- Pour the potato mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine Crushed Cornflakes and Melted Butter from Topping ingredients. Sprinkle over the potatoes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
