Equipment: Large skillet, Liege waffle iron, Baking sheet, Mixing bowls Shop these items →
Instructions
  1. Rub Chicken with Smoked paprika, Cayenne pepper, Garlic powder, Onion powder, Salt, and Black pepper. Let sit for at least 1 hour.
  2. Dredge Chicken in Flour, then dip in Buttermilk.
  3. Fry Chicken in Rendered chicken fat until golden brown and cooked through (about 8-10 minutes).
  4. To make Liege Waffles, combine Flour, Pearl sugar, Heavy cream, Eggs, and Melted butter. Cook in a Liege waffle iron until golden brown and caramelized.
  5. To make Biscuits, combine Flour, Baking powder, and Salt. Cut in cold Butter until crumbly. Add Buttermilk and mix until just combined. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12-15 minutes.
  6. To make Spiced Honey Butter, combine Honey, Chili flakes, Cinnamon, and softened Butter. Mix well.
  7. To assemble, place a Biscuit on a plate, top with a Liege Waffle, then a piece of fried Chicken. Repeat layers. Drizzle with Spiced Honey Butter and serve immediately.
