  4. Make the Waffles: In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, egg, maple syrup. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
