Instructions
- In a bowl, gently combine all Burger Patties ingredients. Form into 4 patties and dimple the center slightly to prevent bulging.
- Prepare the Smokehouse Sauce by combining all Smokehouse Sauce ingredients in a small bowl and mixing well.
- Caramelize the Red Onion: Slowly cook sliced red onion in butter over low heat for 30-40 minutes, until deeply golden brown and sweet.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Use a two-zone fire (direct and indirect heat).
- Sear patties over direct heat for 2-3 minutes per side to develop a crust. Move to indirect heat and cook to desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, top with Smoked Gouda Cheese.
- Toast Potato Rolls lightly.
- Spread Smokehouse Sauce on both halves of each bun. Place cheeseburger patty on the bottom bun. Top with caramelized Red Onion, Bacon, Bread and Butter Pickle Chips, and Crispy Fried Onion Strings.
- Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
