Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
- For the Flourless Chocolate Cake: Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave. Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Gently fold in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- For the Chocolate Mousse: Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and fluffy. Gradually whisk in the melted chocolate. Whip the heavy cream to soft peaks. Gently fold the chocolate mixture into the whipped cream.
- For the Dark Chocolate Sauce: Combine the chocolate, heavy cream, and butter in a saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and melted.
- Let the cake cool completely. Release from the springform pan. Spoon the chocolate mousse over the cake. Drizzle with the dark chocolate sauce and serve chilled.
