Instructions
- Season Chicken with salt and pepper.
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown Chicken over medium-high heat. Remove Chicken and set aside.
- Melt Butter from Sauce ingredients in the same pot. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer, then add Poultry seasoning, Garlic powder, and pepper.
- Return Chicken to the pot. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
- While Chicken simmers, prepare Dumplings: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add Milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Drop Dumpling dough by spoonfuls onto the simmering Chicken mixture.
- Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until Dumplings are cooked through and no longer doughy.
