Instructions
  1. Season Chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown Chicken over medium-high heat. Remove Chicken and set aside.
  3. Melt Butter from Sauce ingredients in the same pot. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in Chicken broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer, then add Poultry seasoning, Garlic powder, and pepper.
  5. Return Chicken to the pot. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. While Chicken simmers, prepare Dumplings: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Add Milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  8. Drop Dumpling dough by spoonfuls onto the simmering Chicken mixture.
  9. Cover and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until Dumplings are cooked through and no longer doughy.
