Cousin Bartholomew's Spiced Pear Charlotte
A comforting and classic pear charlotte with warm spices, perfect for a cozy dessert.

Pears-such as Bartlett or Anjou, peeled, cored, and diced

A comforting and classic pear charlotte with warm spices, perfect for a cozy dessert.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, combine the diced Pears with Lemon juice and Spice Mixture. Set aside.
- To make the Charlotte Base, combine Flour, Sugar, and Butter in a food processor. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press half of the Charlotte Base mixture into the bottom of the prepared springform pan.
- Arrange the spiced Pears evenly over the base.
- To make the Custard, whisk together Eggs, Milk, Heavy cream, Sugar, and Vanilla extract in a bowl.
- Pour the Custard over the Pears.
- Sprinkle the remaining Charlotte Base mixture over the Custard.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until golden brown and the custard is set. Let cool completely before releasing from the pan.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
