Instructions
  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the Okra. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine all Buttermilk Marinade ingredients. Add Okra and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together all Breading ingredients.
  4. Heat Peanut Oil in a large, heavy-bottomed skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Remove Okra from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge Okra pieces in the Breading mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
  6. Carefully add Okra to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet.
  7. Fry for 2-3 minutes per batch, until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove Okra with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  9. Serve immediately.
