  1. In a large bowl, combine the Besan, Turmeric Powder, Carom Seeds, Baking Soda, Salt and Vegetable Oil.
  2. Gradually add water and mix well to form a firm but pliable dough.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into cylindrical logs.
  5. Flatten each log by pressing it between your palms.
  6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium heat.
  7. Using a slotted spoon, gently slide the flattened dough strips into the hot oil.
  8. Fry the Fafda until they turn golden brown and crisp, flipping occasionally.
  9. Remove the fried Fafda from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  10. Serve hot with fried Green Chilies.
