Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the Besan, Turmeric Powder, Carom Seeds, Baking Soda, Salt and Vegetable Oil.
- Gradually add water and mix well to form a firm but pliable dough.
- Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into cylindrical logs.
- Flatten each log by pressing it between your palms.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium heat.
- Using a slotted spoon, gently slide the flattened dough strips into the hot oil.
- Fry the Fafda until they turn golden brown and crisp, flipping occasionally.
- Remove the fried Fafda from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with fried Green Chilies.
