A more flavorful Frito Pie with a richer chili and a few extra toppings for a satisfying meal.
Instructions
- In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the Ground beef chuck over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the Onion and Garlic to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the Chili powder, Smoked paprika, Cumin, and Cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute more.
- Add the Crushed tomatoes, Black beans, and Beef broth to the pot. Bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Season with Salt and Pepper to taste.
- To assemble, open a bag of Fritos corn chips. Top with the Chili, Shredded Monterey Jack cheese, Sour cream, Diced avocado, and Sliced jalapeños.
- Serve immediately.
