Instructions
- Heat a large cast iron skillet (or heavy-bottomed skillet) over high heat until very hot.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Olive Oil to the skillet. Add Green Beans in a single layer (work in batches if necessary).
- Cook for 5-7 minutes, without stirring, until blistered and charred in spots. Flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Remove Green Beans from skillet and set aside.
- Add Butter to the same skillet and cook over medium-high heat, swirling occasionally, until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma (about 5-7 minutes). Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Add Garlic to the brown butter and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan Cheese, Lemon Juice, and Red Pepper Flakes. This is your Brown Butter Parmesan Sauce.
- Add the blistered Green Beans back to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
- Garnish with Toasted Almonds and serve immediately.
