Instructions
  1. Place Turkey Leg in a large resealable bag or container.
  2. Combine all Marinade ingredients and pour over the turkey leg. Marinate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  4. Place marinated turkey leg in a roasting pan and add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the pan.
  5. Cover the roasting pan with foil and bake for 2.5 - 3 hours, or until the turkey leg is tender and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. While the turkey leg is baking, prepare the Bourbon Glaze. In a saucepan, combine all Bourbon Glaze ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until the glaze has thickened slightly.
  7. Remove the turkey leg from the oven and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).
  8. Brush the turkey leg generously with the Bourbon Glaze.
  9. Return the turkey leg to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and bubbly.
