2 cups Milk
1/2 cup Sugar
3 Egg yolks
2 tbsp Cornstarch

Instructions
  1. Crumble Gingerbread cookies into the bottom of a trifle dish.
  2. Drain Peach slices and arrange over the gingerbread.
  3. Prepare Custard: In a saucepan, heat Milk and Sugar until simmering. Whisk Egg yolks and Cornstarch together. Temper the egg mixture with a little of the hot milk, then pour back into the saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in Vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.
  4. Pour Custard over the peaches.
  5. Repeat layers of gingerbread, peaches, and custard until the dish is full, ending with custard.
  6. Whip Heavy cream with Powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  7. Spread Whipped cream over the top of the trifle. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
