This guacamole uses Hass avocados, charred tomatillos, and a homemade citrus blend for a truly exceptional flavor experience.
Instructions
  1. Char the Tomatillos: Place the Tomatillos directly on a gas burner or under a broiler until blackened on all sides. Peel off the charred skin and roughly chop.
  2. Halve the Avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  3. Mash the Avocados with a fork to your desired consistency.
  4. Add the Aromatics (onion, garlic, jalapeño, and charred tomatillos) to the bowl.
  5. Combine the Citrus Blend (lime juice, orange juice, and yuzu juice) and pour it over the avocado mixture.
  6. Add the Herbs (cilantro and epazote).
  7. Season with the Seasoning (flake salt and black pepper).
  8. Gently stir everything together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
