Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together all Dry Ingredients.
  3. Cut in the cold Lard using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Make a well in the center and pour in the cold Buttermilk. Stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  6. Fold the dough in half and pat down again to 1-inch thickness. Repeat this folding process 3-4 times to create layers.
  7. Cut out biscuits using a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
