Instructions
  1. Combine all Lefse Dough ingredients in a large bowl and mix until a smooth dough forms. Rest the dough for 30 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a very thin circle, about 10-12 inches in diameter, on a lightly floured surface. Use a lefse stick if available.
  3. Heat a large, flat griddle or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Cook each lefse for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly blistered.
  4. While the lefse cooks, prepare the browned butter: melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat, swirling occasionally, until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat immediately.
  5. Remove from the griddle and immediately brush with browned butter. Sprinkle generously with Maple sugar and a pinch of Sea salt.
  6. Fold in half, then in half again, and serve immediately.
