Lemon Poppy Seed Frosting
A smoother, more flavorful lemon poppy seed buttercream frosting. Uses a touch of cream cheese for tang and a higher quality vanilla.

Unsalted Butter-softened
3 cups
Powdered Sugar

Lemon Juice-freshly squeezed

A smoother, more flavorful lemon poppy seed buttercream frosting. Uses a touch of cream cheese for tang and a higher quality vanilla.
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat together the Base Butter and Base Cream Cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the Base Powdered Sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
- In a small bowl, combine the Lemon Lemon Juice, Lemon Zest, and Vanilla Extract.
- Add the Lemon mixture to the butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar mixture and beat until well combined.
- Stir in the Poppy Seeds until evenly distributed.
- If the frosting is too thick, add a teaspoon of heavy cream at a time until desired consistency is reached. If it's too thin, add more powdered sugar.

- In a large bowl, beat together the Base Butter and Base Cream Cheese until smooth and creamy.

- In a small bowl, combine the Lemon Lemon Juice, Lemon Zest, and Vanilla Extract.
