A richer and more flavorful mac and cheese with a blend of sharp cheddar and nutty Gruyere.
Instructions
- Cook Pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in Flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, creating a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Milk and Heavy Cream until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until sauce has thickened. Stir in Dijon Mustard, Smoked Paprika, Salt, and Pepper.
- Remove from heat and stir in Cheddar Cheese and Gruyere Cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked Pasta to the Cheese Sauce and stir to combine. Pour into a greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, combine Panko Bread Crumbs and Melted Butter. Sprinkle over the mac and cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
