Marie Callender's Cornbread
A slightly richer and more flavorful cornbread with the addition of honey and a honey butter topping.
1 cup
Cornmeal-stone ground
3/4 cup
All-purpose flour
1/3 cup
Granulated sugar
1 tbsp
Baking powder
1/2 tsp

A slightly richer and more flavorful cornbread with the addition of honey and a honey butter topping.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine all Dry Ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all Wet Ingredients.
- Pour the Wet Ingredients into the Dry Ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- While cornbread is baking, prepare the Honey Butter Topping by combining softened butter and honey in a small bowl. Mix well.
- Spread the Honey Butter Topping over the warm cornbread before serving.
