Million Dollar Casserole Recipe
A richer version of the classic casserole, featuring fresh broccoli, a homemade cheese sauce, and a buttery cracker crumb topping.

A richer version of the classic casserole, featuring fresh broccoli, a homemade cheese sauce, and a buttery cracker crumb topping.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Steam or blanch fresh Broccoli until tender-crisp. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in Flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Black Pepper, and Nutmeg. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, combine Chicken, Broccoli, Onion, and cheese sauce. Mix well.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheese evenly over the top.
- In a separate bowl, combine crushed Ritz Crackers and melted Butter. Sprinkle evenly over the cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
