Million Dollar Casserole
A slightly more refined version of the classic casserole, featuring fresh broccoli, a homemade cheese sauce, and a buttery panko topping.

A slightly more refined version of the classic casserole, featuring fresh broccoli, a homemade cheese sauce, and a buttery panko topping.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Steam or blanch Fresh Broccoli Florets until tender-crisp; drain well.
- In a saucepan, melt Butter over medium heat. Whisk in Flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in Milk until smooth. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in Cheddar Cheese, Monterey Jack Cheese, Garlic Powder, Nutmeg, and Black Pepper until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
- In a large bowl, combine diced Chicken, cooked Broccoli, and cheese sauce.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate small bowl, combine Panko Bread Crumbs, Melted Butter, and Parmesan Cheese.
- Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
