Mock Sausage Patties
A more flavorful and textured vegan sausage patty with added mushrooms and a touch of maple syrup for sweetness. Still accessible for home cooks.

Nutritional Yeast
1/4 cup
Chickpea Flour
1 tbsp
Smoked Paprika
1 tsp

A more flavorful and textured vegan sausage patty with added mushrooms and a touch of maple syrup for sweetness. Still accessible for home cooks.
Instructions
- Sauté the Mushrooms in 1 tbsp of Vegetable Oil until softened and browned. Let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine all Base ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all Flavor ingredients.
- Add the Flavor mixture and sautéed Mushrooms to the Base mixture and stir to combine.
- In a small bowl, combine all Liquid ingredients.
- Gradually add the Liquid mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Knead for 7-10 minutes until very elastic.
- Let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat remaining Vegetable Oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for 6-8 minutes per side, or until browned and firm.
