Instructions
  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the All-purpose flour and Salt. Gradually add the Warm water and Vegetable oil, mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rest for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, combine the Apples, Chestnuts, Granulated sugar, Breadcrumbs, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, melted Butter, and Lemon juice. Mix well.
  3. Assemble the Strudel: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the Dough into a large rectangle, about 12x16 inches. Spread the Filling evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides. Carefully roll up the dough, starting from one of the long sides, to form a strudel. Pinch the ends to seal.
  4. Bake the Strudel: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the strudel on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the Glaze: While the strudel is baking, whisk together the Milk and Granulated sugar in a small bowl.
  6. Glaze and Serve: Once the strudel is out of the oven, brush it with the Glaze. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
