1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
3 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Granulated Sugar
1 1/4 cups Buttermilk

Slightly richer and more flavorful pancakes with the addition of brown butter and vanilla bean. A step up from the classic, but still approachable.
Instructions
  1. Brown 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant. Let cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together all Dry Ingredients.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all Wet Ingredients, including the cooled brown butter and vanilla bean paste.
  4. Pour the Wet Ingredients into the Dry Ingredients and gently stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.
  5. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and bubbles have formed and popped.
  8. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
