Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
- In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Add the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Gently fold until just combined and smooth.
- Dip each Pavesini biscuit briefly into the coffee mixture, ensuring not to soak them completely. Arrange a layer of dipped biscuits at the bottom of a serving dish or individual glasses.
- Spread a layer of the cream filling over the biscuits.
- Repeat layers of dipped biscuits and cream filling until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of cream.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, dust generously with cocoa powder.
