Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all Marinade ingredients. Add the chicken and marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour.
- In a separate bowl, combine all Filling ingredients.
- To assemble the picones, lay out a wonton wrapper. Place a small amount of the filling (about 1 tablespoon) in the center. Top with a few pieces of marinated chicken.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, pressing firmly to seal the edges. Optionally, bring the two bottom corners together and press to seal.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the picones in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- While the picones are cooking, combine all Dipping Sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Serve the picones hot with the dipping sauce.
