Instructions
- Cut the Onion into 1/2 inch thick rings and separate.
- Gently pull apart the onion rings, leaving a small section connected to form a pocket.
- In a small bowl, combine the Pizza Filling ingredients and mix well.
- Stuff each onion ring with approximately 1 tablespoon of the Pizza Filling.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the Batter ingredients until smooth.
- Heat the Vegetable Oil in a large, heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each stuffed onion ring into the Batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
- Carefully lower the battered onion rings into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes per batch, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the onion rings from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Serve immediately.
