Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki
A refined slow cooker teriyaki featuring a complex, homemade tare sauce made with high-quality ingredients and a touch of yuzu for brightness.

A refined slow cooker teriyaki featuring a complex, homemade tare sauce made with high-quality ingredients and a touch of yuzu for brightness.
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine all Tare ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Potato starch and Water to create a slurry.
- Slowly pour the slurry into the simmering Tare, whisking constantly until thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Place Chicken in the slow cooker and pour the prepared Tare over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, or until chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Shred the chicken with two forks.
- Garnish with black sesame seeds and green onions before serving over rice.
