Sour Milk Biscuits
Soft and flavorful biscuits made with buttermilk and fresh herbs. A slight upgrade from the classic, offering a more complex flavor.

All-Purpose Flour
1 tbsp
Baking Powder
1/2 tsp
Baking Soda
1 tsp
Salt
1 tbsp

Soft and flavorful biscuits made with buttermilk and fresh herbs. A slight upgrade from the classic, offering a more complex flavor.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all Dry Ingredients.
- Cut in the Cold Butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, combine Buttermilk, Melted Butter, Chives, and Thyme.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat down to about 3/4 inch thickness.
- Cut out biscuits using a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the biscuits with a little extra melted butter.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
