Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Cornbread: In a large bowl, whisk together the Cornmeal, Flour, Sugar, Baking Powder, and Salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Milk, Oil, and Egg. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Pour into a greased 8x8 inch baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool completely and crumble.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the Butter over medium heat. Add the Onion and Celery and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add the Garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Add the crumbled Cornbread to the skillet. Pour in the Chicken Broth and stir to combine. Season with Sage, Thyme, Pepper, and Salt.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
