A decadent take on sticky bun French toast sticks, featuring a bourbon-infused custard, toasted pecans, and a drizzle of homemade salted caramel sauce.
A decadent take on sticky bun French toast sticks, featuring a bourbon-infused custard, toasted pecans, and a drizzle of homemade salted caramel sauce.
In a shallow dish, whisk together all Custard ingredients.
In a separate shallow dish, combine all Cinnamon Sugar ingredients.
To make the Salted Caramel: In a saucepan, melt the Granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns into a golden amber caramel. Carefully whisk in the Heavy cream (it will bubble vigorously). Remove from heat and whisk in the Unsalted butter until smooth. Stir in the Fleur de sel.
Dip each bread stick into the Custard mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
Place the soaked bread sticks into the Cinnamon Sugar mixture, coating them evenly.
Heat the Clarified butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Cook the bread sticks for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
Drizzle with Salted Caramel sauce and serve immediately.
