A simplified version of the popular appetizer, made with readily available ingredients and straightforward techniques.
Instructions
- Cut chicken breasts into large, petal-like shapes.
- Combine all Marinade ingredients in a bowl. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Combine all Breading ingredients in a shallow dish.
- Dredge marinated chicken in the breading mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Heat about 1 inch of oil (vegetable or canola) in a large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken and drain on paper towels.
- Combine all Sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
- Serve fried chicken with the dipping sauce.
