1/2 lb Ground beef
1/4 lb Hot Italian sausage-removed from casing
1 Yellow onion-diced
1 Red bell pepper-diced
2 cloves Garlic-minced

Instructions
  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the Ground beef and Hot Italian sausage over medium-high heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Add the Yellow onion and Red bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the Garlic and Jalapeño and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the Tomato paste and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Combine all Sauce ingredients in the pot. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the Kidney beans and Black beans, and all Seasoning ingredients. Stir well.
  7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for at least 90 minutes, stirring occasionally. Longer simmering will enhance the flavor.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite toppings (cheese, sour cream, onions).
