In a bowl, combine all Burger Patties ingredients and gently mix. Form into 4 patties.
In a small saucepan, combine all Whiskey Glaze ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
During the last minute of cooking, place Cheddar cheese on top of each patty to melt.
Toast hamburger buns if desired.
Assemble burgers: bottom bun, lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheeseburger patty, and a generous amount of Whiskey Glaze. Top with the top bun and serve.
