Instructions
  1. Cook the Rice: In a medium saucepan, combine Jasmine Rice and Water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until all water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Base: In a large skillet or saucepan, heat Olive Oil over medium heat. Add Onion and Carrot and cook until softened, about 7-10 minutes. Add Garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Build the Sauce: Stir in Tomato Paste and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add Crushed Tomatoes, Dried Oregano, Dried Basil, and Red Pepper Flakes. Season with Salt and Black Pepper to taste.
  4. Simmer and Finish: Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 30-35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in Balsamic Vinegar and Sugar during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  5. Serve: Spoon the Rich Tomato Gravy over the cooked Jasmine Rice. Serve immediately.
