5 cups Chicken Broth
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
1 Yellow Onion-diced
3 cloves Garlic-minced

Instructions
  1. Melt Butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add Yellow Onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add Garlic and Fresh Thyme sprig and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Add diced Turnips and Chicken Broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, or until turnips are very tender.
  5. Remove Thyme sprig. Carefully blend the porridge with an immersion blender until smooth. Alternatively, transfer to a regular blender in batches.
  6. Stir in Heavy Cream and heat through. Do not boil.
  7. Season with Salt, White Pepper, and Nutmeg.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with Fresh Chives.
